3:15 Oops, I'm out of formula :-) Robert and I played while Max was down (he went down for a nap at about 12, and he's still asleep!), and then about 2:00 I gave Robert the last 4 oz of his bottle, and another 3 oz of diluted orange juice. He's been asleep since. I changed his poopy diaper, too, beforehand, around 1:00. I think the lack of sleep during the week for these two boys has caught up to them!
Robert is so fun! He's playing chase, and has taken several steps with the truck.

July 30, 2010

9:00 To Target for laundry detergent and on to the laundromat - not bad at all, 4 loads of laundry in 2 hours. Robert was fantastic, read books, chewed on books, explored my purse handles with his teeth :-) (with my permission, of course...it was fine!)

11:00 Robert fell fast asleep in the ten minute from the laundromat to our house. Seeing as he hasn't been sleeping so well recently, I just brought him into the house in the carrier, where he slept until 12:00. Not bad Robert, and he woke up very pleasantly.

12:00 Soaked through his diaper. Changed his diaper and onesie. Now he's excitedly eating the sandwich and enjoying some diluted orange juice, while watching Baby Einstein's Baby Monet Seasons. It's so fun to see him growing up so fast, already done with baby food for the most part!

Whew, what an afternoon...I can hardly remember what we did!
1:30 En route to swimming, Robert had 4 oz of bottle. Went swimming, lots of splashing by Robert, and Max braved actual swimming. Both were incredibly ready for naps by the time we returned

2:30 Robert had another 7 oz and went down for a nap. He woke up around 3:30. Afterwards we played with puzzles, learned some animals, and basically had chaos!

5:00 Robert was HUNGRY, but wouldn't eat baby food. I tried Kix for him, and he took them well...as you can see!

July 29, 2010

9:00 Nursery Lesson "I Will Share." Songs: "Fun to Do," "Love One Another," "Give Said the Little Stream."

10:00 1/2 nutra-grain bar, 1/4 jar of peaches. Diaper change.
10:15 down for a nap, babbled for a while
11:15 up from nap

11:30 Practice walking

Wednesday, July 28, 2010

2:30 Went for a walk in the double stroller and rode through the sprinklers.
3:00 1/2 jar of pears, 4 oz of bottle. Put him down for a nap. Still babbling at 3:30 and starting to get frustrated. Hopefully he'll fall asleep soon.
1:30 2 more poopy diapers between waking up at 12:00 and now.
12:30 1/2 jar of pears, 1/2 a jar of sweet potatoes. Rest of nutra-grain bar.
11:45 Believe it or not, Robert is up from his short nap.
12:00 Nursery Lesson #16 I'll Say I'm Sorry. Songs: "Jesus Said Love Everyone," "Love One Another," "I'm Trying to Be Like Jesus."

July 28, 2010

9:00 Ate most of the nutra-grain bar. It's an interesting mix with the two boys. Both want one another's food. Max is spending a lot of time learning how to be soft with Robert and loves giving him hugs. Robert saves his slobbery face kisses for Max while he's stuck on his back getting his diaper changed :-)

Played with spoons and measuring cups. Quite enjoyed doing blowing raspberries on the couch.

3 poopy diapers between 9:15 and 10:45. Drank a total of 11 oz of bottle between poopy diapers and trying to go down for a nap.

11:00 Finally down for a nap.

Tuesday, July 27, 2010

2:30 Fussy, late first nap since we were at the park. I gave him 3 oz of bottle, and tried to put him down. He just babbled for a while and never fell asleep.

1:30 Up from nap. Oat snacks and 1/3 jar of sweet potatoes.

July 27, 2010

9:00 1/2 carton of bananas. 5 oz of bottle. Poopy diaper change.
10:00 To the PARK! Lots of fun, wish I'd brought my camera, but it was a park with a creek, so with juggling Max and Robert, it would have been hard to take pictures anyway. Robert liked dipping his toes in the water, and loved when we played with the bubble gun Cortney bought.

11:50 The boys CRASHED on the way home from the park, and are fast asleep!

Monday, July 26, 2010

4:00 Up from nap :-( Nursery Lesson #14 I Will Obey. Song: "Quickly I'll Obey," "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes."
1:30 Diaper change. Music time and danced. 4 oz of bottle. Bonked the back of his head falling backwards from standing up by a chair in the kitchen. Had just a couple crying moments, poor guy.

3:00 7 oz of bottle, down for a nap.
Here are some pictures from boating and some I've been slow to put up from last week. The one of the two in the crib looks a little questionable (what is this lady doing with my son??) However, they both wanted to be in there and played for an hour.

12:00 Up from nap. Played while I put away some laundry. Notice he had a completely viable, fun boat toy with shapes...and look what he opted for :-)

12:30 Jar of sweet potatoes.

July 26, 2010

9:00 Wiggle and play time.
9:30 3/4 jar of pears and a handful of dry oat snacks
10:00 played at the park (all 3 of us went down a slide - whew!), went on a walk
11:00 Changed diaper. 7 oz bottle. Down for a nap.

Friday, July 23, 2010

3:15 Up from nap b/c of poopy diaper. Changed, added ointment. Still fussy and tired, drank 4 more oz of bottle, back to bed until 4:40 when we drove to meet Bryce.
12:30 Diaper change. Read books: God's Creation, Colors. Took things in and out of containers. 7 oz bottle, down for a nap at 2:15.

July 23, 2010

9:00 Fell asleep on the way from Bryce's work. Ate 1/2 jar of squash and a 1/3 jar of pears. Diaper change. Guzzled 7 oz bottle, and went down for a nap by 10.

12:00 Awake from nap. Finished the jar of squash, and 1/2 the jar of pears.

Thursday, July 22, 2010

11:30 up from his nap. Diaper change.
12:00 Lunch at friend's house. Played with little kids. 1 jar of peaches.

1:30 Playing with balls. Reading books. Doing puzzles.
2:30 7 oz bottle. Down for nap. Babbling in crib.
12:00 Up from nap
12:30 Read a Colors book...signs used today - eat, drink, lion, bear, bird, elephant. Played with walker truck.
12:45 Jar of carrots and 1/4 cup of the dry snacks in his diaper bag. You have one cute little boy! I need to off load the pics on my camera so I can take more of Robert!
10:00 Jar of applesauce
10:30 Diaper change, down for a nap

July 21, 2010

9:00 Nursery Lesson #10 I Love My Family. Songs: "We are a Happy Family," "I Love to See the Temple," "If You're Happy..."

Wednesday, July 14, 2010

3:00 7 oz of bottle, down for a nap, poor Robert was resistant, then babbled a while in his crib, but is down now, I think...
1:30 Exploring textures and surroundings. Hard vs. soft, smooth vs rough. Explored light switches, on vs. off. Cabinets and drawers, open vs. closed. Pulled towels off the rack and put them back on.

2:00 WATER PLAY. cold vs warm (no hot!), on vs. off, and FUN! The videos are hilarious, especially the second one. It highlights Robert's first kiss :-)

Changed a wet diaper (primarily soggy from the water play)
Oops, forgot to mention, poopy diaper change before lunch.

1:00 Successfully finished a jar of peas (with a little help of some applesauce dip!) Sorry he's so messy! The smaller bib needs to be washed and I was in the mindset of thinking he wouldn't fit in Max's bigger toddler one...BUT he's a big boy now! So in the future I'll have him wear that bib if I don't have the other handy, and it won't be so messy!

July 14, 2010

9:30 Nursery Lesson: "I Can Take Care of My Body." Songs: "Once I was a Baby" (to Once I was a Snowman), "I'll Walk with You," "We are Different."

10:00 Diaper change, rabbit pellet :-). Mashed bananas, 1/3 of a jar of peas - not so much a fan.

10:30 3 oz of bottle and nap
12:45 up and happily babbling

Tuesday, July 13, 2010

1:00 Rest of squash and pears (Max helped!).
1:30 Poopy diaper, diaper change with ointment.
2:00 Play - standing strength - playing with walking truck
Dexterity - playing with buttons on play phone.
2:30 Nursery Lesson "I Have a Body Like Heavenly Father's" Songs: "I Have Two Little Hands," "I am a Child of God," and "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes."
Now that I'm caught up on Aunt B's pictures...

9:30 a.m. a diaper change. 3 oz of bottle. 1st nap attempt. Babbles and crying.
10:00 Jar of squash, 1/2 jar of pears. 2nd attempt and nap. Mostly crying.
11:00 4 more oz of bottle, and finally to sleep. And...now he's up at 12:45.

The INCREDIBLE team!

We are all so impressed!

Cortney's Swim

WAY TO GO CORTNEY!

Robert's Support of His Amazing Mom!

Robert was down supporting his amazing mom for her triathlon. What a pro swimmer. You can tell Robert is trying to emulate his mom!

Robert's Locomotion

Tired of being left behind, Robert is figuring out new ways to get around...

Camping Adventure

Robert, bless his soul, embarked on quite the camping trip over the 4th of July...rain, wind, snow, hail. He was a trooper. Here are some of Aunt B's pics.

Robert's New Skills

On the right of the blog are all the typical developmental steps of a 9-12 month old...well Robert does them all except maybe walking. But he's working on that, too.

Aunt B Pictures of Boating

We had a WONDERFUL time boating in June. Here are some pictures from Aunt B. Robert seemed a little stunned by the experience, but especially loved being in the cabin. We're especially impressed that Cortney got up wakeboarding her first time EVER! Wow!

Visit with Auntie

A couple weeks ago the boys and I went to visit Auntie. They had a marvelous time on the pony.
