1:30 Played with containers and stacking things. Sadly the video thing isn't working still. Not sure if something went wrong with my camera, or with YouTube or what. It's an adorable video, though, of Robert being entertained by a wipes container that has stacking blocks in it. So cute.

1:30 Zoo - taught Robert sign for elephant and bear, rode the Carousel. Robert had some Kix throughout the time at the zoo. Something about zoos make Robert want to spit up...

3:45 Back home, milk sippy, diaper change, down for a nap

3:00 Woke up from nap. LONG nap! Poopy diaper change with double ointment. Late lunch :-) 1/2 cup of rice and beans, 1/4 cup of creamed corn.

3:30 Five senses. Identification of body and functions of different parts. Read 2 books, one focused on sight and touch, and another talking about eyes, nose, ears, neck, shoulders, etc.

4:00 Nursery lesson: Jesus is Resurrected. Song: Did Jesus Really Live Again?

2:15 Robert is STILL asleep! I was planning on taking the boys to the zoo. Probably still will, but my goodness! Depends on when he wakes up. NO peep going down, either.

9:00 Cars movie - I played shapes with Robert
9:30 Snack - GOOD snack, best he's eaten in a while. I'll be more observant and attentive to make sure he gets more. He ate 1 piece of bread and jam, 1/2 banana, 1/2 string cheese.
10:00 PLAYED OUTSIDE! I have cute pics I'll have to post once I have my camera set up.
10:50 Changed diaper. Gave him 4 oz only of milk, and down for a nap.

4:15 Off to the aquarium

11:30 Nap didn't take. Likely cause - poopy diaper. Changed diaper with double ointment. We went outside and played to wear the boys out. Played bubbles, watched the construction workers (always fascinating)

12:30 Played with musical instruments.
1:00 7 oz bottle, down for a nap - took immediately :-)
3:00 Up from nap. 1/2 egg and bacon. Small amount of pears. Not really interested. Diaper change.

10:00 Nursery Lesson: Priesthood (kind of intense for a 1 and 2 year old, huh?!) Song: Love is Spoken Here.

10:30 Read books. 7 oz bottle, and down for a nap by about 10:50. Still chatting away now at 11:30. I imagine he should be tired. Not sure if I should go in and have him nap later. I'll wait a little longer.

9:40 Just 8 days till Robert's first birthday :-) He's eating raisins right now with Max, listening to some country music. We attempted to go to the aquarium after picking up Robert at Bryce's work. It used to open at nine, but now opens at ten. Bummer.

4:40 Up from a nap. FYI Robert's woken up screaming from both naps, which doesn't seem normal for him.

1:00 LOTS of play - shapes, colors, took things in and out of containers, walked with the truck, danced to classical music, played with refrigerator letters.

Here are some pictures from last week. Sorry I've been bad with posting; being at mom's and dad's is hard for that, and yesterday when we weren't watching the construction ming mings here on the road (which is how Robert got dirty, crawling around on the sidewalk), we were in Park City for a chunk of the day, and then I had to lie down afterwards to recuperate :-)

While at mom's the boys practiced their music, and enjoyed taking rides in the wagon that was left behind from the truck bed by Bryce. We played in the grass. Robert kept wanting to explore the spiky plant in the front yard and was quite upset I wouldn't let him dive in :-) The other day, while here, the boys had a fun time in the cupboards. Silly boys...

Robert signed light and fan yesterday and has pointed them out several times today. So it's definitely valid. He knows a way to express those two things, and he's PRETTY excited about it, you can tell! :-)

11:30 Up from nap, practiced learning shapes
12:00 Lunch: tofu and veggie chow mein, bananas, and yogurt

4:00 Up from nap. Diaper change. Read "Fingers, Nose, Hands, and Toes," and pointed out eyes, nose, mouth, ears, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, fingers, legs, knees, feet, and toes. Talked about what we like to do (using recent photos of the boys doing various things). Now on to the aquarium to do something the boys love to do: see animals!

1:30 Robert finally went down for a nap with another 4 oz of bottle, after a diaper change, and a lunch of 1/2 a peanut butter and jam sandwich and 1/2 banana.

1:00 Poor Robert never fell asleep. Can't tell why. Eyes are red, but he didn't want anything to eat and no problems in the diaper department.

9:45 Nursery lesson: Follow the Prophet. Song: Follow the Prophet (surprise).
10:15 Watched "123 Count with Me" by Sesame Street.
11:00 7 oz bottle and down for a nap.

Robert woke up around 12:00, and we had a fun playful time of eating. He had spaghetti and carrots (not so many carrots, though :-)) I don't know if he's done this little eating dance move with you, but it's hilarious! It's like he's finding a groove while eating. SO CUTE! Spaghetti face!





Around 1:00 we learned more about the body: hands, feet, head, nose, and mouth, and made a little craft book about the body. Sang some songs: Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes and Put Your Hand on Your Nose, Toes, Eyes, etc...

The rest of the afternoon we went on a walk at Jordan River Parkway. The boys especially loved the tunnel by the river and going over the bridge. We played in the park. Robert crawled all over and liked going down the big boy slide.

Later on we played trucks and Robert is walking the length of the living room and kitchen with the push train Mom and Dad have. He also practiced more walking, going a total of FOUR steps today without help.

Robert went down for a 2nd nap around 4pm, 7 oz bottle and down for a nap, but awoke early to a BIG burp! :-) Go Robert. He was up for maybe 30 minutes after that, was quite fussy, so I put him down, and then his sweet mom Cortney came to pick him up and he was SO HAPPY! RIGHT?! :-)

Oops, forgot...about 9:45 Robert had 1/4 cup of cheerios and a yogurt.

3:00 Reviewed Letter A, Yellow, and Circle. Songs: Snap Goes the Alligator, The Ants Go Marching. Story about Abinadi.

3:30 7 oz bottle and down for a nap. Fell asleep about 4:00 or so.

2:00 Played "I'm Going To Get You," spinning, nesting cups, and shapes. We also played a game of mimicking sounds, which Robert did perfectly AND he signed "light" and "fan!" Way to go Robert!

1:30 Up from nap. Poopy diaper change, with a sad bleeding bum :-( Diaper ointment and neosporin. No fussing from Robert, though.

1:45 Out to play, exploring outside...eventually he tired of the walking, and just wanted to crawl, particularly to eat the cords in the dirt (don't worry, I didn't let him!)




LUNCH: Now on to some food - 1/4 poptart, and 3 squares of Cinnamon Harvest (like mini-wheats w/o the frosting)and some slices of pineapple. I may have forgotten to mention he had a slice of cheese and some cheerio type cereal around 10:00.

11:50 Back from reading time. Soaked through diaper (wow, just changed him). Changed diaper, applied ointment for rash. Changed clothes. 7 oz bottle, down for a nap.

10:00-12:00 Hogle Zoo - saw the elephants, monkeys, and rhinos. We rode the train around the zoo, and Robert particularly loved riding on a leopard on the carousel. He had probably 1/4 cup of Trix cereal while at the zoo.

12:15 Diaper change. Ointment on for rash. 7 oz bottle and down for a nap.

2:15 Up from nap, diaper change
2:45 Cheese, crackers, and a little cupcake

3:15 Learning about the body. Songs: Hinges & Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes. FINGERPAINTING! Robert LOVED it, wanted to swim in the paints. Max, not so much, hated the paint on his hands.

4:15 7 oz bottle, down for a nap, not sure it's going to take, but he was fussy.
