9:30 Snack - apple bran muffins

WHAT A DAY!

Necessary errands...oil change and tires rotated (two different places, in order to optimize the FREE cost of rotating tires at Discount Tires). I came close to opting for a $20 fee for Jiffy Lube to rotate the tires as well, but sometimes FREE is more important than the sanity of a mom and two little boys!

While we waited at Discount Tires, we went across the street to Home Depot. Somewhere along the way, sleep bear was lost, but by the time I realized it, back in our car, I honestly didn't care, knowing we had another at home, and knowing it was a well worn sleep bear.

12:00 Lunch - cocoa crispies and grapes (so sorry for the crazy food for lunch, I had to do something quick...they're having squash later! :-)

12:30 Diaper change, and down for a nap...well, Robert pulled the same trick. 30 minutes later, he was fussing and needing another diaper change. Silly, silly boy. I wonder if he really just likes the clean diaper feel first, or if it's a ploy to get out of a nap. Maybe I'll try changing him 30 minutes or so before he goes down.

1:00 Finally down for a nap...

And...now I have time to post pictures from our events yesterday. We went hiking around Silver Lake up by Brighton. It was BEAUTIFUL!

How can you get any cuter than that smiley Robert? Max was very attentive to Robert, making sure he had his sippy and something to eat. They "chilled" for a while by the rocks, and to their delight, some ducks came to visit. We made it a little over halfway when Max decided he wanted to be carried, so I pushed the stroller with Robert on the dirt trail and carried Max. Whew. My biceps almost always ache nowadays. By the time we came to the boardwalk again, Max was ready to help out, feeling fully capable to pull Robert in the stroller. It was so cute...and VERY slow! :-)


























Later that afternoon while Max was still asleep, Robert enjoyed some time on the iPad, learning the animal sounds.











Once Max and Robert were both awake and eating, they had a face off of imitations
